A mini-“Yahoo” for me

I belong to an online writers’ critique group known as the Internet Writers’ Workshop. We discuss subjects related to the craft and business of writing, and critique each other’s writing projects. If you are the least bit interested in any kind of writing, I highly recommend the IWW.

Any time one of our members gets their work published or reviewed, no matter how small, it is a big event in the IWW. We call such an occurrence a “Yahoo,” and congratulate the lucky person.

Well, on March 11, I posted a small comment on Metrolink’s upcoming express service on

their Facebook page. I thought nothing more of it until I saw the April-May Metrolink Matters. Right on the front cover was my comment!

Not quite a book contract, but….ya gotta start somewhere!

Now back to my policy analysis spreadsheet…

I suppose the founders of the 21st Century “IWW” are aware that 100 years ago “IWW” was Industrial Workers of the World, a.k.a “the Wobblies”, a radical labor organization that was the bane of the business community.
